Net Work Analysis
Welcome to the Net Work Analysis.
The Net Work Analysis provides a hierarchical perspective on organizational alignment.
In this example, we see the performance vectors of four individuals (A, B, C and D) that are not aligned.
We also see team performance resultants (AB and CD) and the organizational performance resultant (ABCD).
There are four components to consider:
- Ideal
- Actual
- Waste
- Work
We can also think of "anti-work", which is measurable in the context of a team, but detracts from the performance of the team (e.g. a bug introduced by a software developer).
When alignment is:
- 100% (0° offset) there is only work.
- 50% (45° offset) work is matched by waste.
- 0% (90° offset) there is no work.
- -50% (135° offset) anti-work is matched by waste.
- -100% (180°) there is only anti-work.
